Amphibians: Amphibians are cold blooded creatures who can live on land and in the water, most lay eggs, but some give birth to live young. Not to be confused with reptiles, amphibians do not have scales, and they breathe through their skin.
Examples: Green frog, American toad, western rough skinned newt, spotted salamander, axolotl.
Extinct Amphibians: Eryops megacephalus, Marbled toadlet, Vegas Valley
leopard frog, mountain mist frog, golden toad, Gastric-brooding frog.
